Corrections
I do not correct to get behavior, I teach behavior and guide only correct once a dog knows the info and is making a choice. A correction can be "NO" the word, a snap of the fingers, a low level stem or a pressure release on the pinch. I like to bring the leash conversation to a micro moment so we can whisper our corrections or at least meet the dog where they are so we can begin to try to whisper. So I can guide to the appropriate choice and teach you to do the same. Corrections are guidance we are always teaching building our relationship with our dog the ultimate goal is your verbal word is all you need to get there you have to teach what you want. Dogs expect some sort of correction in life to know their place and keep the pack balance healthy.
